At Burgettstown Youth Wrestling Club (BYWC), we believe in developing young athletes by teaching the values of integrity, respect, and dedication through wrestling. Our program is about much more than winning matches—it’s about building character, boosting confidence, and fostering teamwork. Whether your child is new to wrestling or an experienced competitor, BYWC is a place where they’ll grow, learn, and thrive.

The BYWC Experience
At BYWC, we focus on developing solid wrestling skills, mental toughness, and discipline. We believe in creating a training environment that challenges athletes while keeping it fun and engaging. Our certified coaches prioritize safety, teaching proper techniques that minimize the risk of injury and build strong, capable wrestlers.
Accomplishments 🏆
Top 15 Finish in the WAWA State Championships
Our team placed 13th out of 30 teams in the highly competitive WAWA State Championships last season.
100% Growth in Wrestler Participation
We doubled the size of our team in just two years, making BYWC one of the fastest-growing youth wrestling clubs in the region.
Successful Fundraising Initiatives
Raised over $5,000 through community events such as our Bingo Bash, Spaghetti Night, and golf outings to support our athletes and provide them with top-notch facilities and gear.
3 Wrestlers Top 16 in the State
Burgettstown had 3 wrestlers place top 16 in either PJW State Championships or Keystone State Championships
Runner-Up at the Break the Chain Duals Tournament
BYWC secured 2nd place at the Break the Chain community duals, showcasing our team's strength and determination.
Multiple Tournament Champions
Several of our wrestlers claimed first-place titles in local and regional tournaments throughout the season, representing BYWC with pride and skill.
8 Wrestlers Qualified for State Championships
Last season, 8 of our athletes qualified for the prestigious state championships, a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Introduction of Girls' Wrestling Program
BYWC proudly launched a girls' wrestling program to encourage more young athletes to take up the sport and excel.
Coaching Team USA Wrestling Certified
Our entire coaching staff has been USA Wrestling’s “Teal Level Certified,” ensuring that every athlete receives top-tier training and development.
